Founder Director of the Malaysia Centre for Robotics
and Industrial Automation (MCRIA). MCRIA is supported
by the Malaysian Federal Government and Perak
State Government. Grants totaling RM6 million
has been awarded. MOU's, partnership and linkages
have been established with renowned foreign and
local establishment. Namely, are: NASA Robotics
Consortium (RUV's), Franhoufer Institute (R&D),
Oakland University, Detroit (R&D), IFR Sweden,
JARA Japan, UIA (IMRAC), UTM, UKM, UPM, SIRIM,
MIGHT, RAAM, RRT and etc. Several strategic and
high-tech contents proposal was forwarded to the
Malaysian Gov. eg Robotics Underwater Vehicle
for implementation in Bakun project, Development
of RoboCity in southern region of Perak State,
Development of Mobile Robot platform with UTM
and the formation of Robotics and Automation Association
of Malaysia. Efforts to produce indigenous robotics
and automation technology are ongoing.
