he joined the faculty of the Poznan University of
Technology.
In 1991 he spent 5 months in the Institut fur Robotik
und Processinformatik, TU Braunschweig, Germany
where he conducted DAAD funded research on experimental
identification of robot dynamics. In 1993, as a
Fulbright Senior Scholar at Jet Propulsion Laboratory,
California Institute of Technology, he conducted
research on robot dynamics in terms of quasi-coordinates.
On October 22 1998 he was nominated to a Professor
Title in Technical Sciences by the President of
Poland.
K.Kozlowski has written more than 120 published
papers, 2 books in Polish and hold 3 patents. He
is author of the book Modelling and Identification
in Robotics, published by Springer-Verlag, Advanced
in Industrial Control Monograph Series and one of
the co-authors of the book Comprehensive Dictionary
of Electrical Engineering, CRC Press, 1999.
He supervised and was the principal investigator
of 4 grants sponsored by State Committee for Scientific
Research in Poland and one sponsored by the Foundation
for Promotion of Advanced Automation Technology,
Japan.
He served as a member of the Program Committee Member
or various Polish and international Conferences.
In 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999 he served on the 1996
ICRA Program Committee. He is an associate editor
of The IEEE Robotics and Automation Magazine and
Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. He is
an editor-in-chief of the Automation and Informatics
Studies published by the Polish Society of Friends
and Sciences.
His current research interest include robot dynamics
and control, hybrid control of robots, path planning
for cooperating robots, nonholonomic path planning
for a set of mobile robots, intelligent control,
identification and adaptive control, and various
aspects of sensory feedback in robotics.
K. Kozlowski is a Senior Member of the IEEE and
a member of three IEEE societes (RA, SMC, and AC)
as well as the European and Polish organizations.
