From 1984 to 1989,
he has worked as a Software Engineer (Automation)
in Philips India in the Consumer Electronics Factory
at Pune, India. Since 1989 he has been with the
School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering,
Singapore Polytechnic where he is a Senior Lecturer.
He is presently with Massey University, New Zealand,
as a Visiting Senior Lecturer working in the Institute
of Information Sciences and Technology.
His current interests are in the area of Image Processing,
Vision Based Automated Testing and Measurement systems,
multi-agent collaborative robotic systems and real
time process control and monitoring. He has published
several papers in international conferences on topics
in the area of measurement/testing and robotics.
He has keenly contested in several international
competitions, including Robot World Cups, organised
by FIRA in the past several years.
He is a member of IEEE. He has held the post of
Treasurer and subsequently Chairman of the Computer
Chapter of the Singapore IEEE Section.
